Spring Lessons Expo 🌼 Sunday, May 3 | 12–4 PM Mar Vista Roller Hockey Rink We’re gathering at the rink to kick off our Skate Lessons season. Come hang, skate, and try out some new skills :) This is an open, come-and-go afternoon with a rotating mix of beginner and intermediate mini sessions. Nothing formal, nothing you have to commit to. Just space to learn, practice, and be around other people doing the same. We’re also celebrating the start of our partnership with Rollerblade, so we’ll have first come, first serve inline skate rentals available for anyone who wants to hop in. (included in price of admission) ⏰ Class Schedule: Sessions begin at 12:30 PM and run in 30-minute rotations across two areas (A + B). Feel free to move between classes and join what feels right. 12:30 PM A: Beginner Basics B: Dance Skate Musicality (intermediate) 1:00 PM A: Find Your Flow (intermediate) B: Slalom (intermediate) 1:30 PM A: Beginner Basics B: Dance Skate Musicality (intermediate) 2:00 PM A: Find Your Flow (intermediate) B: Slalom (intermediate) 2:30 PM A: Ramps 101 (intermediate) 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM B: Sliding (advanced, strong fundamentals required) 3:00–4:00 PM A: Hockey Intro + Mini Scrimmage (advanced, strong fundamentals required) ℹ️ Class Notes Beginner Basics is a flexible, all-levels beginner session where instructors will meet you where you’re at. Focus may include forward skating, safety, stopping, or progressing into skills like backwards skating and transitions. All other classes are designed for skaters who are comfortable on their wheels and ready to explore specific styles or skills. What to expect: Short, drop-in lessons happening throughout the day Music playing, people skating, all the spring vibes Instructors around to support, answer questions, and share tips A chance to get a feel for our weekly Sunday lessons (starting mid-May) Skates: Bring your own (quads or inlines welcome) Inline rentals available on-site (first come, first served) No quad rentals for this one Pricing: $10 accessibility ticket $25 regular admission Includes full access to the rink, rentals (first come, first serve) and all sessions, however you want to skate!
