Object Flow Skating by TJ

Service Description

Want to take your skating to the next level, and learn how to flow with different objects & skate? This Object Flow Skating class taught by TJ is for you! This class will help you unlock the knowledge of the space round your body. We will begin by breaking the space around our bodies into planes, areas of space which we will be spinning our flow objects. We will move through drills to strengthen our positional awareness of the objects as we spin them. Once we feel comfortable stationary object flowing, we can include our skating movements and practice our rhythm, making skating with staff an exciting and dynamic way to flow with the jams. What to expect - Spinning tempo, understanding the timing of your spinning staff to allow for smooth movement and transitions. - Learning to understand the space round our bodies and the names the planes in which we spin the staff. - Passing the staff from hand to hand while incorporating skate drills to make a synthesis of skate and flow. - Contact Staff, Lean to skate with staff without even holding it! - Let’s have fun and be safe! Location: Mar Vista Recreation Center, Roller Hockey Rink (11399 Palms Blvd, Los Angeles) Level: Specialty / Intermediate (beginners welcome) Class length: 1 hour, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
