This workshop is for beginner to intermediate skaters who want to progress into urban skating and learn how to control their speed on hills and efficient stopping techniques for emergency situations. Learning how to control your speed is important for social urban skating to ensure your safety and the safety of other skaters around you. This class will also provide you with fundamentals needed to progress to artistic sliding, doing slide combos for more performative stops. What to Expect: - SkateIA based teaching by level 1 certified instructor - Consistent training surface on a sliding mat to practice form, transition and weight distribution . - Build a foundation for more advanced speed control and stopping methods, giving you the confidence to skate at any speed that you enjoy. - **workshop for Inline skaters only** Level: Specialty / Intermediate (beginner skills recommended) Class length: 1 hour Price: $35 drop-in
