The Skate Hunnies have grown exponentially since it's creation. What started as a beach skating crew has blossomed into a welcoming community that partners with businesses and events to share the love -- and it’s no coincidence. The Skate Hunnies show what happens when authenticity and joy are put first: people notice.
Why Events?
Joy and energy are contagious! We started doing events as an opportunity to integrate further into our surrounding communities and have fun. It’s a gift to be living proof that joy empowers more joy. We show up as our authentic selves and encourage others to do the same with a smile. People see the power in that, and want to help us help them spread that joy! When you put yourself out there, like-minds see you and help you! We started working with brands for events and digital marketing to share that feeling and make it as accessible as possible.
Lululemon Pop-Up Skate Rink at Music Festival for Bottlerock in Napa Valley
Last May, the Hunnies had the incredible opportunity to amp up the vibes at the Bottle Rock Music Festival. Hand-selected members of the Skate Hunnies were flown out to Napa, California to the lululemon pop-up rink to show everyone exactly what it looks like to have the time of your life rocking gorgeous lululemon gear. Our performers showed off their skills and encouraged new skaters to be adventurous through skating at the pop-up rink. When they weren’t skating, the Hunnies were able to enjoy the music festival. Our performers absolutely crushed this opportunity, showing off their skills and personalities. It was a powerhouse line up!

Community Spotlight: Lilia
We want to give a special shout out to our last performer, Lilia! Lilia has become a pillar in our community, supporting newcomers and veteran skaters with her lessons. We featured her for our Women’s Month Series on Instagram, but one post wasn’t enough! She’s a 2025 USA Rollersports National Champion who shows off expert skill and creativity derived from dedication and passion. Lilia spreads joy by taking her own community through her busy day, sharing tips and tricks that she uses for coffee, makeup, and more, with a uniquely colorful grace.
Lilia’s grace isn’t contained just to her skills or professionalism, it is how she shares them with a glowing personality. Whether it’s longboarding with Vibe Ride or skating with the Hunnies, Lilia always says hello with a smile, making it clear that everyone is always welcome around her. When she coaches, she’s informative and encouraging, empowering students of all levels and ages to find their flow to boost their confidence in both their skating skills and their growth potential.
